The goal of the Memorial High School Equestrian team is to promote growth in horsemanship education and to encourage interscholastic participation. We ride horses, learn new techniques and have fun with our friends and horses.

The goal of the Memorial High School Equestrian team is to promote growth in horsemanship education and to encourage interscholastic participation.

The MHS Equestrian team was formed in 2009 by two MHS students. These motivated individuals had the desire to take a sport that is typically performed on an individual basis and create a team that would compete as whole! In 2009 the MHS Equestrian team became part of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Horsemanship Association (WIHA). The WIHA has 6 districts throughout the state of WI. MHS’s team falls under district 5, which encompasses the counties of Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce and St. Croix. Each team belongs to a division. The division depends on the number of students riding on the team; riders can range from grades 6-12.
Division A = 11 or more riders
Division B = 6 – 10 riders
Division C = 3 – 5 riders
Division D = 1 – 2 riders
