Getting Involved at Sam Davey
Volunteers truly make a difference in the lives of our students and offer a different lens for our students to learn from. Sam Davey truly values and welcomes our volunteers as they enrich programing and success for our students.
In keeping with District Policy, the Volunteer Agreement helps establish an understanding of the role of volunteers and to understand guidelines to ensure knowledge of school culture and it also serves as a safety net for volunteers. All volunteers are asked to complete this agreement yearly. Depending on the level of volunteer responsibilities, the School District may ask that a background screening be done through use of the Disclosure Form. The Volunteer Agreement and Disclosure Form can be found on the District Webpage. They are also available at Sam Davey or by contacting Nancy Brenner, the Partnership Coordinator, at 715-852-3207 or by
email
.
Examples of when a background screening may be necessary include, but may not be limited to the following:
Fieldtrip Chaperones
Volunteers with a regular schedule in the school
Working one-on-one or in small groups with student
All volunteers are asked to check into the main office when arriving at school to volunteer. When checking in we appreciate your attention to this policy. Should you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Principal or Partnership Coordinator.
Thank you!
