Assessing Student Progress in ARCTIC Zone
The ARCTIC Zone’s instructors offer guidance as needed while monitoring students' progress in a variety of ways. They provide both small and large-group direct instruction to keep students on a productive learning path.
Students are assessed using an Evidence-Based Grading (EBG) approach, which means they know if they have truly mastered a skill or content—rather than only receiving a score or grade. Students will also earn 'credits' with each project completed to track learning growth in ELA, science, and social studies skills and content areas throughout middle school.
