North School Resource Officer (SRO)

Our School Resource Officer is a police officer from the Eau Claire Police Department that is assigned to a school as a liaison between the school district and the police department. SROs support school personnel and students with resources that promote academic success and improve school climates. SROs are also responsible for crisis management, community policing, school security, and conducting student-related investigations. 

About Officer Bembnister
Adam Bembnister has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and has been in law enforcement for approximately 10 years. He has worked for Eau Claire Police Department for more than three years and worked for La Crosse Police Department for more than six years prior to moving back to Eau Claire with his family. Adam grew up in Eau Claire and is a graduate of Memorial High School. Adam has a connection to North High School since his mom, aunts, uncles and several cousins are North grads. Adam partners with North by assisting with school safety and investigating any threats to the building or occupants, connecting student and families with community resources, and he works with teachers and staff to provide students with relevant topics and trends. Adam encourages students and families to call or stop into his office in the main office if he can be a support or resource for them.
