Community Members & Organizations
Thank you for your interest in having the Eau Claire Area School District serve your building use needs.
The Eau Claire Area School District buildings and grounds are first and foremost for the education and enrichment of our students. Secondarily, they serve as a valuable community asset for educational, governmental, civic, cultural and recreational activities of the citizens of Eau Claire. Rental/Use procedures are intended to best maintain the facilities for the students and community. The use of all school facilities will be at the discretion of the Eau Claire Area School District. The granting of permission to use school property shall not be construed as an endorsement of any individual or group by the Eau Claire Area School District.
SCHEDULING DATES:
We are currently accepting applications from all group classifications for the 2022-2023 school year.
Communiy Groups/Organizations must pay the annual user/application fee before being able to submit schedules for 2022-2023. Your fee is the same as it was for 2021-2022, unless you've heard differently from us. If you did not use/rent our facilites during 2021-2022, contact the facility use office at 715-852-3160 to determine what they will be.
WEEKEND USE:
Start and end times, and limitations to hours do not apply on weekends. However, there are additional fees for weekend use associated with overtime costs.
OUTDOOR AREAS:
Outdoor spaces are handled the same as indoor spaces, and are scheduled via our scheduling system. The hours available for community use are the same as for indoor spaces (list at right).
In order to keep our fields in proper condition they need to be fertilized, watered and seeded; so it may be necessary to close them for periods of time. Please do not use any field marked for maintenance and/or rest (see schedule at right). Any fields or lawns being fertilized will be posted in advance as required by law.
INCLEMENT WEATHER:
When schools are closed or close early due to inclement weather or other emergencies, all events/activities scheduled by Community Groups/Organizations are canceled.
There may be a prediction of bad weather coming later in the day/evening, but conditions will allow for safe travel immediately after school; so schools do not close early. There could, however, be concerns about safe travel later that day/evening. Because each school has different school functions scheduled after school and evenings (athletic/other practices; PTA/O events; music/art events; etc.), the school determines whether to cancel their school events. Cancelation of school events does NOT cancel events scheduled by Community Groups. It is up to each organization’s leadership to determine whether they want to hold their scheduled event or not. If an organization decides to cancel a scheduled event due to weather conditions, it is up to the organization to inform their participants of the cancellation. The Facility Use Office should also be notified (email) of that decision. There will be no penalty for a late cancellation under these circumstances.
