School Goals

Each school in the Eau Claire Area School District has developed four goals to focus on this school year.  We will continue our gains for the next 3-5 years as we shift our focus from overall achievement to overall growth.  Our focus during every professional development, instructional planning, and collaboration opportunity at Roosevelt will continue to center on the four following goals.

Math Goal
By the end of the 2017-18 school year, 80% of all Roosevelt students will be proficient (3) on the targeted area of math standards focus (Operations & Algebraic Thinking or Number & Operations) as selected by grade-level-teams and measured by corresponding district wide end-of-unit tests and standards rubrics.

Literacy Goal
By the end of the 2018-19 school year, 80% of all students will meet *Grade-Level Benchmarks on the Lucy Calkins narrative writing rubric to improve literacy skills (reading and writing)

Student Engagement Goal
By the end of the 2018-19 school year, Roosevelt Elementary will score 10% higher than the baseline (fall) scores of our student, family, and teacher surveys used to assess the social and emotional skills of our students.

Building Specific Goal
By the end of the 2018-19 school year, Roosevelt Elementary will experience 10% fewer office discipline referrals (ODR’s) related to negative behaviors on the playground than our data from the previous year.

Thank you for the positive support you provide at home.  Our students achieve more because of our collective efforts between home, school, and the community.  Please call, email, or stop by if you have any questions about our direction at Roosevelt Elementary School.  Thank you for the important work you do!
