Before and After School Programs

Awesome Algebra
Awesome Algebra is an after school math class designed to provide an algebra experience for fourth and fifth grade students who have a high interest and enjoy being challenged in math. Students represent and analyze mathematical situations using algebraic symbols in order to understand the basic notion of equality and equivalent expressions. They learn how variables are used to represent change in quantities and also to represent a specific unknown in an equation. Meadowview serves as one of several host sites for Awesome Algebra, and any fourth or fifth grader in Eau Claire may register. Awesome Algebra typically runs two days a week after school from mid-January through mid-March.

Safety Patrol
Fifth grade students may serve on the school safety patrol under the direction and supervision of Mrs. Mooney.  It is the responsibility of the safety patrol, along with an adult crossing guard, to assist students with safe travel to and from school.  The patrollers will be on duty the following times:
  1. Before school  7:55 a.m. - 8:11 a.m
  2. After school    3:05 p.m. - 3:20 p.m.

School safety patrols are stationed at the corner of Meadow Lane and Rye Court, and the corner of Meadow Lane and Fairfax Street for travel to school and home.

An adult guard is stationed on the corner of Fairfax Avenue and Golf Road before and after school.
