Student Profile:
Ages 17-20
From the Eau Claire and Altoona school districts
Have earned 12 or less high school credits
Application form from their school of residence, or from student, if over 18 years of age and his/her class has graduated
Earn a 17 credit McKinley diploma
The students in the Competency Component are credit deficient, and without the McKinley Competency Component cannot earn sufficient credits to graduate from high school prior to the end of the semester in which they turn 21.
The Competency Component requires students to complete competency tests in the areas of reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, health, and civics. The student must demonstrate employability skills and maintain a work experience or job search.
Students have the opportunity for virtual learning.
Classes are offered from September through May.
Monday 10 AM until 4:00 PM.
Tuesday 8 AM until 4:00 PM.
Wednesday 8 AM until 2 PM.
Thursday 8 AM until 4:00 PM.
Friday 8 AM until 4:00 PM.
Classes are offered June through August.
