This page will provide activities and resources for each subject area. If you have questions regarding any activity, please contact your teacher.
Secondary:
Teachers should look at their students’ learning
holistically
(a combination of work through March 16, 2020, and the At-Home Learning Checklist items) and determine P/NP (Pass/No Pass) based on evidence.
Pass (P):
The student adequately participated and engaged in essential standards addressed in learning opportunities and enrichment activities during the grading period.
No Pass (NP):
The student did not adequately participate and engage in essential standards addressed in learning opportunities and enrichment activities during the grading period.
This will apply to:
Middle school: 4
th
quarter, 2
nd
semester, and year grades
Year-long courses: 2019-20 year-long course grades will not be calculated into a student’s GPA.
Semester courses: Only first semester courses from the 2019-20 school year will be calculated into a student’s GPA.
Note
: The middle school GPA is used sparingly, most commonly used for the President’s Education Award. The middle school GPA ends at end of middle school and does not carry over to high school.
High school: 4
th
quarter and 2
nd
semester grades
Only first semester of the 2019-20 school year will be calculated into a student’s GPA.
This applies for all courses taken during second semester of the 2019-20 school year, regardless of their format and when they were completed. This includes online and transfer courses.
Note
: High school GPA credits are earned in grades 9-12, and follow
345.6-Rule(1) Specific Graduation Requirements
.
By May 8, 2020, teachers need to identify students at risk of No Pass and then work with the building/resources to address that situation, and to ensure we are considering access and equity issues.
Credit recovery for No Pass students would require demonstrating learning based on overall course requirements through March 16, 2020, plus the At-Home Learning Checklist.
Grade reports will be submitted to the student portfolio in Skyward where families can download the reports and print, if desired.
Report Cards will be sent home to families in the month of June.
