Welcome to the Locust Lane Media Center! I'm Ms. Abel. I've been teaching at Locust Lane since 2012. I love working with the students and staff of Locust Lane in this beautiful library!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does library look like in 2020-21?

All students still get library lessons! Even though the library itself is closed, Ms. Abel is recording lessons for all cohorts. Hybrid students will view these lessons in their classrooms. Virtual students can access these lessons in Canvas or Seesaw.

What about library books?

All students can still checkout library books! Students will fill out book menus in class and Ms. Abel will use their answers to choose the best books for them each week.

Can virtual students checkout out library books?

Yes! Virtual students can use this Google Form to fill out a book menu. Ms. Abel will select books based on the answers, and these books can be picked up on materials pickup days. The form must be filled out by noon the day before the materials pickup.

When can virtual students pickup their books?

The following dates have been established district-wide for elementary families to pick up additional instructional materials from school, including library materials. All dates are Fridays, and the school will be open for pickup from 4-6 pm.
